We are recruiting Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our team in children’s residential care homes and Independent Living settings.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 16 who are in the care system due to various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we seek individuals with confidence, patience, and the necessary skills to work effectively with these children and positively impact their lives.
The position involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to children within residential or independent living environments, aiming to create an environment that addresses their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
As part of a team, you will support children throughout the day with basic tasks such as meal preparation, education, and shopping.
We are looking for flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals eager to work in a specialist environment. Full training and qualifications will be provided to suitable candidates.
A driving license is advantageous, as you may be required to drive the unit car and escort young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
We welcome applicants interested in full-time and part-time hours on a zero-hour contract, with opportunities to progress to full-time employment.
Please note that you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before any placements are offered, unless you are already on the national DBS database.
Available shift patterns include:
1. 8am – 11pm
2. 8am + Sleep
3. 3pm – 11pm
4. 11pm – 8am (Waking Night)
