Interim Health, Safety & Environmental Manager – Belfast (Contract)
Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a global manufacturing and technology organisation to recruit an Interim Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for their Belfast site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to take ownership of site-wide safety and environmental performance, driving improvements and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the delivery of health, safety and environmental strategy on site, ensuring best practice, compliance and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture while supporting operational and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all HSE activities across the site
* Ensure full compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation
* Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
* Drive behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects
* Maintain and develop ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems
* Monitor HSE KPIs and deliver regular reports to senior management
* Engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business
* Support environmental compliance including waste, emissions and energy usage
* Provide training and guidance to managers and employees
What you will need
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
* Proven HSE leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation and compliance
* Experience in audits, incident investigation and systems management
* Ability to quickly embed into a business and drive change
