Light Commercial Vehicle Technician - Preston

1. Competitive base salary up to £40,000 per annum for IMI Level 4 qualified technicians with an OTE of £47,200.
2. Level 3 Technicians earn around £35,000 per year
3. Uncapped bonuses, potentially earning approximately £600/month at 100% achievement.
4. Workshop hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with potential Saturday opening in 2026 once fully staffed.
5. Holiday entitlement of 22 days plus bank holidays, totalling around 30 days annually, which exceeds typical industry standards.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
8. Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, including cars, light commercial vehicles, and HGVs as applicable.
9. Conduct high voltage electric and hybrid vehicle repair and maintenance tasks
10. Ensure work is completed to manufacturer standards and within set timescales
11. Maintain accurate documentation of all technical work
12. Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and manufacturer updates
13. Liaise with front line staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain workshop efficiency
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role:
14. IMI Level 4 qualification in Light Commercial Vehicles, or equivalent certification.
15. Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician, preferably within a dealership environment.
16. Knowledge and practical skills in repairing hybrid and electric vehicles
17. Strong diagnostic abilities with attention to detail
18. Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
19. Good customer service skills and a professional attitude
20. Will consider experienced technicians with relevant qualifications, including car, LCV, and HGV Technicians.
