Compensation: £31,537 / year

We are offering a new and exciting development opportunity for someone who wants to work towards their first management and leadership role. We are seeking to recruit a Trainee Management Apprentice which is an excellent opportunity for those who are not already degree qualified to earn while you learn and gain valuable experience on the job. This role will bring you to the heart of the Council working on a 26-month fixed term contract, where you will rotate through three different placements across our Directorates. Each placement offers the chance to deliver projects and drive forward real change, supporting key strategic objectives within our Pride in Place and Adult and Community Service Directorates, making a lasting difference to our local community. You will combine hands on experience with a fully funded CMI Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) Level 6 giving you the best of both worlds, building your skills while gaining a recognised qualification.

Your first placement will see you working alongside experienced project managers to deliver capital projects. These are long term investments in our town centres, buildings and infrastructure ensuring every project supports our strategic priorities in regeneration and growth. Placements 2 and 3 will give you the opportunity to further build and apply your skills with continuous support from your team and mentors. You’ll be joining a vibrant community of passionate professionals, working in an office environment, where hard work is celebrated and rewarded with a generous annual leave allowance starting at 26 days, as well as a flexitime scheme and access to an excellent staff benefits and discounts platform.

Torbay Council offer a hybrid model, where you can benefit from balancing office collaboration with some remote flexibility.
