Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrically Biased) – Project-Based Role Location: Beccles, Suffolk Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hrs/week) Salary: Competitive, DOE Contract: Permanent We are supporting the recruitment of a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrically Biased) to join the Projects team of a leading manufacturing business in Beccles. Reporting to the Project & Site Services Manager, you will deliver engineering projects across machinery installation, decommissioning, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives—ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver engineering projects and improvement programmes within agreed budgets and timelines Install, maintain, modify, and decommission production machinery Work closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and complete required risk assessments Identify and implement performance and efficiency improvements Maintain accurate project and engineering documentation Adhere to company EHS policies and statutory requirements Take ownership of tasks, maintaining high workmanship and professional standards Occasional travel to other company sites Qualifications & Experience NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical knowledge desirable) Competence in a secondary discipline (mechanical preferred) Experience working with manufacturing or production machinery Understanding of PUWER and machinery safety (advantageous) Full UK driving licence Forklift licence (desirable) Why Work Through Hales Group?
