The Role:
Supply Desk are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School Physics Teacher to join a vibrant school in Kings Langley. You will deliver engaging lessons, foster scientific inquiry, and inspire a love of Physics in Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5) students. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs who want to grow their career in a supportive, ambitious, and positive school environment. You will have the chance to make a real impact on students’ learning, helping them develop critical thinking skills and a lifelong curiosity for science.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Physics to Key Stage 3–5 students (or years 7–12), adapting lessons to different abilities.
* Plan and deliver stimulating lessons and practical experiments aligned with the curriculum.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
* Promote safe laboratory practices and maintain an organized science environment.
* Inspire students to explore scientific concepts and think critically.
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or a related field.
* Teaching qualification/certification (QTS) or relevant classroom experience.
* Strong knowledge of Physics concepts and laboratory techniques suitable for secondary education.
* Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
* Passion for motivating and inspiring young learners.
