What you’ll be doing
* Designing and delivering end-to-end data architecture on AWS
* Defining data models, standards, and governance frameworks
* Building and overseeing scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
* Working with engineering teams to implement solutions using services such as:
* Ensuring security, compliance, and data protection standards are met
* Supporting data migration and transformation initiatives
* Collaborating with stakeholders across delivery, product, and engineering
* Contributing to architectural governance and design reviews
What we’re looking for
* Proven background designing data platforms using services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda
* Experience building data lakes, warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines
* Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated environments
* Experience working within UK government or public sector programmes (essential)
* Solid knowledge of data modelling techniques and best practices
* Comfortable working in Agile delivery teams and contributing to design authorities
Nice to have
* Experience with streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka, Kinesis)
* Familiarity with GDS standards and government delivery frameworks
* Experience with data catalogue, lineage, and quality tooling
* Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments
