About the DT Department • State-of-the-art workshops with CAD/CAM and digital design tools • 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining and engineering equipment • Excellent technician support for practical lessons • A curriculum that promotes creativity, sustainability and problem-solving • Strong performance across all design-based subjects • Close links with STEM, computing and science departments About the Role • Teaching DT across KS3–KS4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates) • Delivering practical and theoretical lessons that inspire creative thinking • Supporting design portfolios, prototypes and coursework • Contributing to school-wide design challenges and STEM initiatives • Helping develop innovative curriculum resources and teaching strategies • Promoting safe workshop practice and high technical standards Experience and Qualifications • Degree in DT, Engineering or Product Design • PGCE with QTS • Strong technical understanding and workshop confidence • Ability to inspire students of all abilities Salary MPS/UPS.
