Bothwell Medical Centre is pleased to advertise for an additional Practice Nurse to join our team to work 15 hours per week. The vacancy can cross 2 or 3 days per week; the hours are flexible to attract the right person.
We are a friendly, progressive practice covering a population of just over 10,400 patients from our newly refurbished premises in the old village of Bothwell. We currently have six GP partners, a Salaried GP, one practice nurse and full time pharmacotherapy support on site. The team is further complemented by two Occupational Therapy practitioners, a Mental Health nurse and a Community Link Worker, who also work from our premises and are an integral part of our team. We have a robust administrative and secretarial team and a highly experienced Practice Manager. We use Vision and Docman. As a long established GP training practice, we are involved in the training of ST and FY2 doctors and constantly have new faces coming to work with us; we are all involved in their training, which has helped to create a strong, compassionate team.
Applicants for this post must be NMC registered and would preferably have primary care experience. The successful candidate will have experience in chronic disease management as well as having the ability to perform cervical screening and to cover sexual health and contraception reviews or be willing to take training in these areas. Independent Nurse Prescribing would also be desirable but not essential.
