Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an Lead EC&I Engineer (Electrical Controls and Instrumentation) for a permanent position in Warrington location. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals or highly regulated industry.
Role
In this role you will be the Lead EC&I Engineer for one project / portfolio of projects and will be responsible to manage and complete the EC&I engineering and design, which includes change control and consistency of the EC&I engineering and design with the other disciplines.
Responsibilities
As an Lead Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer you will be responsible for the Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) design within engineering, EPCM or EPC projects and you will act as the technical authority for the EC&I discipline.
Project will predominantly reside in UK, but you will be expected to carry out projects for Europe & UK and these projects will range across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications.
You shall be able to lead projects and coordinate all EC&I engineering and design, with the other disciplines, Mechanical, Civil and Structural, Process and Automation. You will carry out, check and approve Engineering and Design estimates.
Qualification
* Previous experience as Lead Engineer EC&I, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company, in one of the sectors : (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Petrochemicals).
* Deep knowledge of EC&I engineering and design, but you also have a sound knowledge of the other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Process)
* Experience of acting as a technical authority or line manager for an engineering organisation
* MEng / BEng in EC&I Engineering
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (Preferred), TUV Certification
* Strong understanding of the main standards in relation your discipline including 7671, 7430, 61508, 61511, ATEX, DSEAR, LV and HV
* Experienced with the main EC&I design packages including AMTECH, AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical, Revit, Dialux and all Microsoft office packages.
