Overview
The Engineering/Facilities team are responsible for maintaining THG sites, ensuring that all colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment while on site.
Responsibilities
* Perform day-to-day planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, compliance inspections, and regulatory inspections related to the building's electrical infrastructure and on-site assets.
* Diagnose electrical faults and repair or replace defective equipment.
* Ensure compliance documentation is always completed and up to date.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment status and inspections.
* Manage and escort specialist contractors.
* Support on-site installation projects.
* Collaborate with the onsite Facilities, Engineering and Operational teams to coordinate electrical and general maintenance activities.
* High level of H&S awareness (IOSH or NEBOSH preferred).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Electrical installation experience.
* General maintenance experience.
* Experience with lighting, wiring, fire systems, HVAC, and automated doors.
* Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations, and safety practices.
* Ability to read and follow technical diagrams.
* 18th Edition wiring regulations.
* Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
* Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma).
* Familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Experience of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
