Our client is an award winning business, that has an highly experienced automotive team, who have developed a fantastic name and reputation with their dealer partners across the UK. They currently have a prestigious client base across the industry and currently provides schemes for around 1000 dealers throughout the UK.
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and well-qualified Group Financial Controller to join a highly successful automotive company based in Buckinghamshire.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the financial management and accounting of the company, ensuring that all financial information is accurate, comprehensive and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the preparation and completion of monthly and annual financial accounts
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
* Monitor cash flow and ensure that the company’s financial targets are met
* Analyse financial data and prepare reports for senior management
* Prepare budgets and forecasts
* Manage the company’s investment portfolio
* Ensure compliance with all relevant taxation regulations
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department
* Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions
* Monitor and analyse market trends and competition
Skills Required:
* Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices from the automotive industry would be desirable
* Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
* Experience in preparing financial statements and managing budgets
* Extensive knowledge of taxation regulations
* Highly competent in the use of accounting software (Sage)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Organised and detail-oriented
