Chefs Jobs UK is expanding our temporary recruitment division and were looking for a Recruitment Assistant with hospitality experience to support our fast‑paced temp desk. This role is ideal for someone who understands the realities of hospitality shifts and enjoys a dynamic, people‑focused environment.
The Role
You’ll be a key support to our temporary recruitment team, helping to ensure chefs and hospitality staff are booked efficiently and clients are covered at short notice.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Supporting day‑to‑day temporary bookings and last‑minute shift cover
* Sourcing, screening, and registering hospitality candidates for temp work from a variety of platforms including social media
* Coordinating availability, rotas and shift confirmations
* Maintaining accurate candidate records, right‑to‑work checks and compliance
* Communicating quickly and clearly with candidates and clients
* Assisting with timesheets, payroll queries and general temp recruitment admin
About You
* Previous experience working in hospitality is essential
* Proficient user of social media platforms and an interest in using them to attract potential candidates
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, reactive environment
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator who can build rapport quickly

* Full‑time or part‑time hours available – this role may suit somebody who is looking to work Monday to Friday but perhaps shorter days to fit in with school hours for example
