The Watford Medical Education Department is seeking a Medical Education Fellow to support the delivery of the Medical Students' curriculum for Brunel University.
The post holder will be an integral part of the team, playing a key role in identifying and delivering evolving curriculum requirements. An average week involves 3 days of teaching (which may include clinical skills, bedside teaching, or simulation) and 2 days of clinical work in a specialty at WHTH, to be agreed upon at appointment.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a team player with a passion for medical education. The position will be based in the Education Centre at Watford General Hospital.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting, planning, delivering, and promoting teaching programs, including clinical skills for Medical Students.
2. Supporting the multi-professional training program and participating actively in the Simulation Faculty, West Herts Initiative in Simulation Education and Research (WiSER).
3. Contributing to the organisation of clinical examinations and supporting the Medical Education Team and teaching consultants in managing student teaching programs and clinical experiences.
4. Supporting the Simulation Faculty in organising and facilitating simulation sessions, ensuring no conflicts with other obligations.
5. Updating own clinical skills to meet professional requirements.
6. Assisting in delivering formative and summative assessments such as OSCEs, postgraduate exams including PACES, Procedural Skills, and others.
The role comprises 3 days of teaching and 2 days of clinical work at WHTH (CT1/F3 level), with the clinical component to be discussed during interviews. The position is supernumerary with no on-call duties. The clinical placement is optional and negotiable.
