Job Title: Compliance and Technical Manager – Passive Fire Protection & Fire Doors Location: Remote (with site travel as required) Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 Car/Allowance Private Medical Insurance Start Date: Immediate Avocet Recruitment is working alongside a leading provider of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) and fire safety compliance services across the UK. Working with clients in both the public and private sectors, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, and national developers. Their work covers surveying, remediation, installation, and consultancy—with an uncompromising focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance. The company is growing quickly, and as their new Compliance and Technical Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of the operations, playing a critical role in shaping, maintaining, and leading technical standards and compliance strategy. Key Responsibilities * Technical Leadership: Act as the go-to expert for all technical queries, supporting internal teams across surveying, estimating, operations, and delivery. * Surveying & Consultancy Oversight: Drive data accuracy through specialist software and bespoke workflows. Ensure all technical outputs meet the highest standards. * Compliance Management: Maintain key accreditations (e.g. IFC, CHAS, ISO) and stay ahead of industry changes in fire safety regulation. * Quality Assurance: Conduct site audits, approve certifications, and ensure installations are consistently compliant and well-documented. * Training & Development: Deliver internal training across teams, keeping everyone aligned with evolving regulations and best practices. * Product Validation: Oversee material and system compatibility across all projects—escalating risks and ensuring installation integrity. * Client & Supplier Engagement: Communicate directly with clients and partners to provide expert guidance and support.
