Finance Analyst- XWB
Full time
Derby - Hybrid - minimum 3 days on site per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join the XWB team in Derby.
The Trent XWB is one of Rolls-Royce's most successful engines ever. With over 500 aircraft in-service in just over 8 years of operation and a significant firm order book ahead, the A350 has rapidly established itself as the aircraft of choice for a many major operators and will remain exclusively RR-powered until at least 2030, meaning many years of service revenue still to come. Generating significant financial returns on the investment in this product is therefore critical to both the success of Civil Aerospace and RR plc.
As part of the XWB finance team this role will help support and drive functional processes as well as providing insight into the performance of the value stream against its operational and financial commitments. Working closely with both the Financial Control team, as well as the enabling businesses, this role with ensure consistency, rigour within the processes we operate as well as ensuring we have the appropriate controls and stewardship structure.
Key Responsibilities
Support the consolidation, financial planning and analysis of the XWB Value Stream. Ensuring that the inputs and assumptions from the enabling businesses are understand and are consistent.
Support underlying financial and business processes across Civil. This includes:
Monthly actuals process, including variance analysis and XWB management information.
Contract Review Pack analysis and scenario planning.
Product Cost analysis in support of XWB Breakeven.
Supporting the XWB Strategic Initiatives and drive for working capital improvement.
Challenging the budget/forecasting inputs for the P&L and Balance Sheet and preparing business review packs with meaningful business commentaries for review.
Working on process improvement tasks, including writing, and maintaining how to guides and task lists.
Support of effective business & financial controls including the Stewardship and balance sheet reviews.
Attendance at agreed value-added business meetings such as actuals and forecasting business reviews.
Who we're looking for:
To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
AAT/ CIMA/ACCA or equivalent (or working towards qualification).
Working knowledge of SAP and HFM.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
Experienced in communicating with non-Finance personnel.
Customer focused, with a drive for process improvement.
Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be SNBG
