Sales Engineer – Air Conditioning
Location: London (Office-Based)**
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm**
Salary: £42,000 + Commission + Company Car**
About the Role
We’re recruiting for a driven and technically proficient Sales Engineer with a solid background in air conditioning to join our London-based team.
This is a key position for an individual who can manage the complete sales process from initial enquiry through to project completion, combining strong technical knowledge with a proven ability to develop business and close sales.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering tailored HVAC solutions, liaising between clients, design, and installation teams to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full sales cycle – from lead generation and client consultation through to quotation, order, and installation handover.
* Conduct detailed site surveys and technical assessments to specify suitable air conditioning solutions.
* Prepare and present professional proposals and quotations.
* Liaise closely with engineers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying new business opportunities.
* Meet and exceed agreed sales targets, contributing directly to business growth within the London and surrounding areas.
* Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven track record in technical sales or business development within the air conditioning/HVAC sector.
* Previous hands‑on experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer (installation, service, or maintenance background).
* Strong technical understanding of air conditioning systems and installation processes.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Self‑motivated and target‑driven, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with attention to detail across multiple ongoing projects.
* Full UK driving licence required.
