We are seeking a talented, dedicated, and highly analytical Strategic Supply and Demand Planner to drive selection and in-stock for Amazon UK Fresh programs. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an important initiative at Amazon. The candidate should have proven analytical skills, experience in process improvement, thought leadership, and results delivery.
The Strategic Supply and Demand Planner will be responsible for executing inventory strategies to optimize customer experience, sales, margin, and turns. The focus will be on maintaining high in-stock rates to meet customer needs. The role involves analyzing core drivers of in-stock performance and proactively identifying opportunities to improve tools and workflows. Interaction with retail and operations teams across Amazon is crucial, and the role is pivotal to this strategic initiative.
The successful candidate must communicate effectively across teams and levels, balancing internal and external customer needs. Key job responsibilities
1. Maintain excellent in-stock rates for owned categories and regions.
2. Implement inventory strategies to optimize sales, turns, and inventory health.
3. Monitor and analyze KPIs such as in-stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns.
4. Forecast and manage inbound and outbound inventory flows, including purchasing and inventory reduction.
5. Conduct root cause analysis, develop action plans, and manage projects to improve operational issues, handling multiple priorities.
6. Collaborate with internal teams to improve tools and processes affecting purchasing and procurement, with an emphasis on automation.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory Management, or related fields such as Consulting, Finance, or Operations
* Advanced analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and scalable solutions
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong business judgment, excellent communication skills, and a practical approach
* Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to results
* Excellent collaboration skills to build trust at all levels
* Attention to detail and proactive work ethic
* Strong data analysis skills, including SQL and Excel, with familiarity with statistical techniques
