A vacancy has arisen for a Corporal (Any Profession) to serve as JNCO Reserves & Rejoiner Recruiting (JNCO R&RR) at Headquarters RAF Recruiting and Selection (R&S) at RAF Cranwell on Additional Duties Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 March 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). RAF R&S’ Mission is to recruit the high-quality people needed to sustain RAF Operational capability today, and into the future. The Main Effort is to maximise delivery against the ITR/ITT. The post is located within the Qualified Rejoiner Recruitment Team (QRRT). Specifically, upon successful completion of the RAF Recruiting Course at RAF Cranwell (unless already completed), JNCO R&RR will work within the Recruiting and Selection HQ and will be responsible through SO3 Qualified Rejoiner Recruiting Team to SO2 Reserves and Rejoiners and as part of the Reserves and Rejoiners Team, for the following aspects of Recruitment and Selection: Ensuring all procedures and processes are consistently applied in accordance with AP3391 to maintain the throughput of potential Officer and Enlisted Aviator recruits. Processing new RAF Reserves, Rejoiner and Sponsored Reserves applications received by the online Recruiting Information Technology System (RITS); conducting effective Candidate Relationship Management with candidates to facilitate a positive candidate experience for all applicants. Proactively guiding candidates through the recruiting process and offer initial trade counselling. Acting as the initial focal point for new applicants’ queries, responding in a courteous, friendly and timely manner. Checking all applications against extant eligibility criteria, processing applicants’ details on RITS and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure the timely hand-off and processing of cases. Booking of candidates onto Specialist Interviews, Diagnostic Testing, and Competency Reviews, as directed. Ensuring the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive records on all applicants in accordance with current SOPs. Processing specialist documentation including RAF Reserves Bespoke Training Waivers, Rejoiner Assessment Forms, Executive Medical Waivers, Trade Aptitude Reports as required. Acting as a subject matter expert for RITS, providing advice and guidance to recruiting staff as required, in consultation with the R&S Digital Innovation, Systems Management & Analytics (DISMA) team. Ensuring a range of daily/monthly/yearly data relating to Reserves applications, hand-offs, attestations and other statistics is accurately recorded primarily using MS Excel. Routinely liaising with key Stakeholders including Profession Advisory Teams, Career Managers, Reserves Personnel Management Cell, R&S Policy staffs, R&S Marketing staffs, Recruiting Force and Recruiting Operations staff, Capita Medical administration team and the Department of Occupational Medicine on a range of Reserve and Rejoiner recruiting matters. Providing support regarding the general administration of the Reserves and Rejoiner Recruiting Teams.
