We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to work in the UK’s first Specialist Emergency Care Hospital at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, rated outstanding twice by the CQC.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide respiratory care across rotations in Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology and Coronary Care, Accident and Emergency, Surgery and Critical Care at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
* Participate in respiratory outpatient services across North Tyneside and Northumberland, including consultant‑led bronchiectasis and asthma clinics, ILD and breathing pattern disorder clinics, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain continuous professional development through robust appraisal, local and national audits, research trials, and service development projects.
* Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and peers to deliver high quality patient care.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills.
* Evidence of continuous professional development and post‑graduate training to support application.
Working Hours & On‑call
Provide a 24‑hour respiratory physiotherapy service to the hospital and will be required to be on‑call as part of a rota. The role may involve non‑traditional working patterns as the organisation transitions to full 7‑day working.
Travel & Driving Requirements
The role requires coverage across the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust area. A valid UK driving licence is essential, and the post holder must be able to use a personal or leased car, or a trust personal lease vehicle, for work purposes.
