Our client, a Civil Engineering highway maintenance contractor operating across the UK, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee various Civil Engineering Highways Schemes. You will work across the Midlands, reporting to the Regional Director and managing site teams including Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen, and Subcontractors.
The ideal candidate:
* Must have extensive experience operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
* Previous experience in Highways/Roads and Design Reactive and Planned Maintenance
* Degree qualified with the ability to manage a project team
Responsibilities:
* Complete projects profitably, meeting client specifications and ensuring client satisfaction
* Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-re sourcing issues promptly and cost-effectively
* Coordinate and manage interfaces with other division parts
* Ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, work in accordance with company policies, are trained, competent, and work safely
* Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
* Collaborate with estimating to provide value engineering insights, lessons learned, etc., to enable the division to submit competitive tenders
* Deliver project schemes profitably and on time to enhance company reputation and pursue further business
* Assist in identifying new client targets and developing approaches with the Commercial Manager
