Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Christchurch Primary School
We are a warm, welcoming, and well-established mainstream primary school in Christchurch seeking a calm, committed, and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
This rewarding role involves working closely alongside a Year 4 pupil, providing consistent, nurturing support to help them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
About the Role:
* Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 child
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support strategies
* Foster a positive, calm, and structured learning environment
* Support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
* Help adapt classroom activities to meet individual needs
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary setting
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a calm, consistent approach
* Is reliable, dedicated, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
* Can use initiative while also working effectively as part of a team
* Has experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
