One of our leading public sector clients is seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and driving cost efficiency.
Procurement Manager Key Responsibilities
* Implement procurement best practices and deliver high-quality procurement services
* Manage end-to-end procurements via Framework Agreements and Find A Tender (where applicable)
* Oversee a range of procurement and contract-related activities, including change control and termination notices
* Identify and deliver cost savings and process efficiencies
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage procurement requirements
* Work with external suppliers to gather quotations, proposals, and other relevant information
* Maintain and update the Contracts Database and manage MI reportingCoordinate and manage the tender process, including document preparation, evaluation criteria, and outcome communication
* Support the Head of Procurement & Contracts in strategic procurement objectives
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, including PCR15 and PA23
Skills & Knowledge
* Strong experience in end-to-end procurement, contract management, and supplier relations
* Knowledge of public sector procurement and regulatory frameworks (PCR15, PA23)
* Advanced IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Analytical skills, including spend analysis and contract data reporting
* Strong stakeholder management and customer service ethos
* MCIPS qualification (preferred)
