About Our Client

Job Description

3. Producing a monthly management accounts pack and Balance Sheet reconciliations and providing departmental management information to relevant managers
4. To constantly look to review and improve the reporting and financial controls functions for the business and the reporting group with support from the Head of Finance
5. Fixed asset register management, including maintenance, budgeting, forecasting & reporting. Capitalising assets in accordance with policy.
6. Maintain cashbook and perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits and posting of cash to accounts payable ledger, daily Cashflow Reporting, budgeting & forecasting.
7. Month end Accruals, prepayments & Journals. Balance Sheet reconciliations. Management and administration of the Chart of accounts & ledger in line with Policy and Coding, anomaly investigation & correction.
8. Support year end audit and statutory accounts to ensure queries are answered quickly and accurately.
9. Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goals.
10. Maintain and improve internal financial controls and procedures.
11. Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
12. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and strategic support.
13. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
14. Assist with audits and compliance requirements within the accounting and finance function.
15. Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should be

16. Studying a professional accounting qualification or equivalent - ACCA or CIMA
17. Proven experience in Management Accounts and the month end process
18. Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
19. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
20. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
21. The ability to work collaboratively across teams.
