Overview Of The Role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, while ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your prior knowledge. You will make a huge difference to people’s lives, and you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips and many more activities, ensuring the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Key Duties
* Taking the lead in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities, whether in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and day‑to‑day tasks

Location
Opened in 2018, Ravenna Lodge is a highly‑specified, purpose‑built residential home that supports 11 men and women with mental health conditions and associated complex needs. Residents enjoy a relaxed, community environment and are supported by staff and our Positive Behaviour Support Team to develop life skills and self‑confidence on a pathway to more independent living. Every resident has a tailored activity schedule based on individual needs and preferences. Ravenna Lodge is located north east of Andover. Both Newbury and Winchester are about 20 miles away. The service also has its own transport for visits and outings.
