We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
You will be supporting 2 females and 1 male with learning disabilities who are coming out of residential care into this supported living setting which is a three story house in Dronefield.
As part of this exciting opportunity you will be required to support with the transition work to ensure it is a positive experience for all of the people supported.
The role includes working on a rota basis - patterns can include day shifts, night shifts and you will be required to work sleep-ins, depending on availability.
The people here love going out and about especially shopping and bowling, the families are really important to the people supported so you must be able to build positive trusting relationships.
We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. Here at Community Integrated Care we aim to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive employer, where all colleagues feel they belong. We want to an organisation that is truly fair and equal to all - where individual diversity is valued, unique characteristics celebrated and everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work.
By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.
This publicly sets out the promises we've made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. Community Integrated Care is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
