Duties
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
* Repair or replace faulty components, including circuit boards, sensors, and other electronic parts.
* Assist with computer hardware repairs and upgrades, ensuring systems operate efficiently.
* Implement network configurations and troubleshoot connectivity issues within computer networking systems.
* Read and interpret schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and modifications.
* Utilise hand tools effectively for assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
* Perform system testing post-repair to verify functionality and safety standards are met.
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
* Collaborate with other technical staff to resolve complex issues promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience or training in electronics or related fields is essential.
* Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding system interactions.
* Proficiency with hand tools, schematics, and computer hardware is required.
* Experience in computer repair, maintenance, and networking will be highly regarded.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in electronics or computer technology are desirable but not mandatory.
