Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Maintenance Technical Coordinator to join our Thames Valley North Wastewater Operations team, working across the Cotswolds, Cherwell and Oxford areas.
Responsibilities
* Manage pre‑requisites within SAP (materials, permits, resources and services) for all complex jobs.
* Use technical expertise and data to design operationally critical jobs.
* Highlight key operational risks and obtain funding.
* Maintain plant and equipment availability and optimise treatment performance.
* Develop strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide expert advice on technical issues and generate solutions to operational risks.
* Obtain quotes, order materials and 3rd party services through framework contractors.
* Ensure all health and safety aspects are managed correctly, through safe system of work approval, reviewing RAMS, permitting and site audits.
* Ensure legal statutory maintenance requirements are met.
Qualifications
* Completed a time‑served apprenticeship or hold a recognised technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Relevant experience as a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Technician or ICA Technician, with a strong understanding of plant, equipment and operational processes.
* Highly logical and able to build the dependencies between tasks.
* Collaborative and able to work closely with planners, field performance managers, suppliers and third parties.
* Technically experienced with a good understanding of asset maintenance.
* Good local knowledge of asset importance and inter‑relationships.
* Meticulous at documenting finer details of job requirements.
* Able to manage a large workload of numerous jobs in parallel.
* Competent with IT systems (SAP) and possess effective communication skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues; IOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Full current driving licence is essential.
