Overview
Waiting List Coordinator role at Swansea Bay University Health Board, based in Port Talbot SA, United Kingdom. This is a fixed-term/secondment position for 9 months. Education requirement: GCSE. Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to clinical staff within the Community Dental Service.
* Manage the administrative process for new patient referrals, including allocation to appropriate clinicians and clinical sites.
* Coordinate waiting lists, validate lists, and book patient appointments.
* Collect, analyse, and audit waiting list data; support monthly reporting to the service manager.
* Respond to telephone queries from patients, carers, and other health care professionals.
* Coordinate communication with patients who may have disabilities or require special care; arrange translator services as needed.
* Assist with data collection, analysis, and audit activities related to waiting lists.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) education.
* Good administrative and data-handling skills; ability to manage waiting lists and support clinical staff.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and professionals; sensitivity to patients with special care needs.
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh in addition to English.
