Job Description:
SuperCare is searching for experienced Team Leaders to join our children's residential homes in Eastbourne and Hastings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading shifts, formulating support plans with young people, constructing packages of support to meet their needs, and supporting their physical, emotional, and social welfare. They will promote young people's capacity to take responsibility for themselves and act responsibly towards others.
Main Duties:
* Direct work with young people, key working, and active participation in providing support and care on a shift basis.
* Working in partnership with young people, their social workers, carers, and other agencies. Coordinating, monitoring, and reviewing Care Plans, risk assessments, and placement plans to facilitate positive transitions and greater independence.
* Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment regarding health and safety, and making autonomous decisions about young people's requests and behavior during shifts.
* Administrative work and record keeping related to key working responsibilities and daily home operations.
* Ensuring young people are informed about their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, and supporting their increased responsibility.
Household Responsibilities:
* Sharing practical activities necessary to maintain the house.
* Caring for the fabric, equipment, and environment.
* Managing allocated funds responsibly.
* Reporting repairs and ensuring necessary actions are taken.
* Ensuring young people eat healthy, balanced meals prepared by staff.
* Conducting health and safety checks in line with policies and Ofsted standards.
Personal Development:
* Staying updated with good practice to develop skills, knowledge, and experience according to a personal development plan.
* Utilizing regular professional supervision.
* Reporting malpractice or concerns to a line manager or appropriate person.
