Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Specialist Registrar (SPR) in General Medicine supportive medical team as a locum. The post offers an exciting opportunity to work across a range of medical specialties within a busy NHS hospital, providing high-quality inpatient and acute medical care.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, and Junior Doctors to deliver safe and effective patient management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality clinical care to patients admitted under General Medicine and associated subspecialties.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, investigations, and management plans for acutely unwell patients.
* Participate in ward rounds, admissions, and discharges.
* Contribute to the acute take and medical on-call rota as required.
* Supervise and support junior medical staff and medical students.
* Liaise with other specialties and departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Participate in audits, clinical governance, and teaching activities.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and licence to practise in the UK.
* Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience (ST3 level or above) in General Medicine or related specialties.
* Valid Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
* Strong clinical decision-making and acute medicine experience.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
* MRCP (UK) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
* NHS experience at Registrar level.
* Experience across multiple subspecialties in Medicine.
