Care Services Team Leader
Pay rate - £16.10 per hour
Contract role, supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities
Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Care Services Team Leader in Leicestershire, to work within the short breaks and supported living service in Melton.
Ideally, we are looking for a person that can do 30 to 37 hours per week on a flexible rota with shifts between the hours of 7am and 10pm including weekends and bank holidays. We need you to:
* Have supervisory/managerial experience OR suitable level of experience in a social care setting.
* Have the ability to analyse information to be able to reach defensible decisions (demonstrating the use of risk management tools);
* Be able to manage the referral process for the support service, assessing new referrals and making joint decisions with Registered Manager regarding placements.
* Demonstrate sound regulatory knowledge on the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.

* Line manages a team of support staff, providing regular, high-quality supervision, acting as the first point of contact for advice, and ensuring staff receive ongoing professional development.
* You will help us maintain high-quality services through effective audit systems and ensure we deliver outcome-focused care and support. You should be skilled in risk identification, completing risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
* You will provide direct care and support to service users, motivate and support our team, and promote the right values, celebrating individuality and diversity.
* You will be responsible for the safe storage, organization, administration, and documentation of medication, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
* You will work in accordance with Leicestershire County Council’s Employee Code of Conduct and the Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.
* Training will be provided, and you will have a team to mentor, coach, and support your development.
