They should be eager to try new content formats and ready to support the business in telling our story in innovative, engaging ways.
While the role is primarily focused on social media, you’ll also support wider marketing activities across content, internal comms and reporting. You’ll work closely with our Head of PR & Communications and wider team to help drive awareness, grow our audience and strengthen the Compass Plus Technologies brand presence globally.

What you’ll be doing
1. Take ownership of Compass Plus Technologies’ global social media channels – including scheduling content, monitoring activity, and supporting long-term growth
2. Generate creative content ideas and contribute to the production of short-form content including blogs, social media posts, images and video
3. Explore new content formats, platforms and trends, helping us experiment with fresh ideas to keep our channels relevant and engaging
4. Collaborate with designers to create visual assets and contribute to content creation using design tools (e.g. Canva or Adobe Express)
5. Monitor social and digital activity across customer and competitor channels, flagging opportunities for PR or content in real-time
6. Create regular reports on the performance of social channels and help us identify ways to improve reach, engagement and ROI
7. Own and manage the marketing presence on our internal communications portal, ensuring news and updates are shared regularly across the business
8. Support the wider marketing team across PR, digital and content activity as needed
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
9. A university graduate with a relevant degree (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Media, English, Business, etc.)
10. A passion for social media, with a good understanding of different platforms, trends and best practices
11. A strong interest in technology, software and B2B marketing
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
13. A creative mindset and a desire to try new ideas and formats
14. A good eye for visual design and ability to collaborate on image and video content
15. A proactive, self-starting attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
16. A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
17. Good organisational skills and a structured approach to work
18. A genuine passion for marketing, communications and digital media
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
19. Any previous marketing experience (internships, jobs, placements, freelance work, etc.)
20. Understanding of basic marketing and digital principles
21. Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer)
22. Awareness of paid social advertising best practices – particularly on LinkedIn
23. Awareness of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4)
24. Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. WordPress, ModX) or basic website editing
25. Knowledge of or interest in SEO and digital reporting
