An established and fast-growing structural steel contractor is looking to appoint a hands-on Site Agent to oversee the delivery of multiple steel projects across the Northwest.
Working with major contractors and blue-chip clients, this role offers long-term career progression, autonomy and the chance to lead complex structural steel installations from fabrication through to handover.
The Role
As Site Agent, youll report to senior management and take ownership of day-to-day delivery across several live sites. Youll lead a team of Site Managers and Supervisors while acting as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, coordinating and supervising the delivery of structural steel projects on site.
Managing and supporting Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure safe and efficient working.
Acting as the primary liaison with clients, consultants and main contractors.
Ensuring compliance with NEC contract requirements, programmes and documentation.
Managing Early Warnings (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs) and supporting pricing/variations.
Overseeing fabrication release, logistics, delivery and installation of steelwork to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) standards.
Driving safe, efficient and commercially successful outcomes across all projects.
About You
Were looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring genuine structural steel expertise.
You will have:
Proven experience as a Site Agent (or Senior Site Manager ready to step up) within the structural steel sector .
A strong understanding of steel installation, tolerances, lifts, sequencing and EXC3-quality requirements.
Experience working with NEC contracts, including EWNs, CEs and change control.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
Solid client-facing ability and confidence representing the business on site.
A proactive, commercially aware mindset with the ability to make decisions and keep projects moving.
Flexibility to travel across the Northwest when required.
