A manufacturing client of ours in the Maldon area are recruiting a Part Time Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a part-time permanent position working 25 - 30 hours Monday - Friday (flexible on how this is worked) and paying £30,000 - £35,000 (FTE) per annum depending on experience.
Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, your key duties include but are not limited to:
1. Materials and finished goods costs - Including purchase ledger and variance analysis
2. Weekly/Monthly Production output reporting to Directors and Group
3. Stocks - Control, valuation and reporting
4. Standard cost - Support for budget process, calculating costs for new parts and customers tenders
5. Monitoring Operations costs against budget and supporting reporting of Operations KPI's
6. Cover for weekly/monthly payroll and HR administration
7. Monthly accounts to trial balance including accruals and prepayments.
8. Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure reporting
9. Assist with VAT returns/compliance.
10. Cover for creditors payments
11. Stock reconciliation
12. Maintenance of product structures
13. ERP system administration
14. Support completion of Annual Accounts and year-end audit.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Cost Accountant position:
15. AAT qualified or part ACCA/CIMA qualified.
16. Strong Excel skills, experience in using Pivot tables and advanced formulas.
17. Experience in using an ERP system.
18. Cost Accounting or similar experience essential.
19. Manufacturing and Production industry experience.
