Job Description
The Director, Software Sales, Americas & EMEA will own and drive the Renesas 365 sales strategy across existing and new Renesas customer segments in North America and EMEA. This highly visible leadership role combines strategic vision with operational execution to scale revenue growth, accelerate Renesas 365 sales, and expand market penetration for Renesas’ software portfolio.
Director, Software Sales, Americas & EMEA will lead and inspire a high-performing sales organization, using data, insights, to achieve ambitious growth targets while fostering collaboration across regional and global teams. Reporting directly to the SVP Sales at Renesas, this position plays a critical role in defining the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, improving pipeline velocity, and creating a scalable, predictable foundation for long-term success.
Strategic Leadership
○ Develop and execute the Renesas 365 GTM strategy across the Americas and EMEA, targeting existing Renesas customers
○ Partner with global business units, product marketing, and platform teams to ensure alignment between market needs and product strategy.
○ Contribute to annual and quarterly business planning, segmentation, and investment prioritization.
Revenue & Growth
○ Own and deliver against pipeline, bookings, and revenue goals across the assigned regions.
○ Manage the full GTM P&L (growth, margin, and EBITDA targets) with data-driven decision-making.
○ Identify high-potential markets and channels to drive adoption of Renesas’ digital software ecosystem.
Team Development
○ Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing regional account executives and application engineers.
○ Foster a high-trust, performance-oriented culture built on collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
○ Provide continuous coaching, goal setting, and clear success metrics tied to organizational KPIs.
Operational Excellence
○ Implement sales process optimization, CRM discipline, and pipeline management best practices.
○ Establish standardized metrics to measure conversion rates, forecast accuracy, and productivity improvements.
○ Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and customer success to deliver a seamless buyer experience.
Partnership & Ecosystem Development
○ Cultivate strategic relationships with Renesas’ ecosystem partners and distributors to expand reach and co-sell opportunities.
○ Represent Renesas at industry conferences, corporate events, and customer briefings (including quarterly Corporate Huddles).
Qualifications
A seasoned enterprise software sales executive with 10+ years of experience leading regional or global teams in the EDA, PCB Design industry
● Proven track record of scaling software enterprise sales organizations across complex, matrixed environments.
● Skilled in developing long-term strategies while executing short-term wins that deliver measurable results.
● Exceptional communicator and relationship builder, comfortable influencing C-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
● Highly analytical, data-driven, and operationally disciplined, with the ability to translate insights into action.
● Empathetic, emotionally intelligent leader who inspires teams through trust, purpose, and clarity.
● Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
