We are seeking a skilled Senior or Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join a team in Cardiff or Bristol, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.
This consultancy has a wide project range in the sectors of large volume house builders, education, heritage, industrial, and commercial sectors. You will be a part of a small team with growth plans, enabling you to be a center point of the Development Infrastructure team allowing you to make a difference.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage infrastructure projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and client requirements.
2. Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data necessary for project design and planning.
3. Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and other engineers to ensure project coordination and integration.
5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
6. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.
7. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
8. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.
Candidate Profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. Professional Engineer working towards CEng (PE) license is highly desirable.
3. Circa 8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management.
4. Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within budget and timeline.
5. Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design tools.
6. Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction.
7. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
