Housing Officer – Fixed term until 30/4/2027
Home Accessibility Referral Team (HART)
Salary: £34,452 - £40,501
Hours: 36 per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Home Accessibility Referral Team (HART) as an Assessment Officer. The role is to assess housing applicants who have mobility issues, to ensure that they are awarded Gold Priority to access social housing that meets their needs. The team is expanding to include an additional Assessment Officer to assess applicants quickly and support them to access a suitable home.
Tasks and activities of the HART Assessment Officer include:
* Screening EdIndex forms to establish if housing applicants meet the criteria for Gold Priority
* Undertaking housing needs assessments for applicants that meet the criteria
* Liaising with the HART Occupational Therapists around assessed needs and recommendations on property types
* Supporting applicants to access suitable homes
* Nominating applicants for accessible Council homes during the current Allocations Policy suspension
* Providing housing options advice
* Managing a caseload
* Working as part of a closely knit team to develop and improve service delivery
* Joint working with partner agencies to get the best outcomes for clients

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. We are happy to talk flexible working.
