Parent Assessment Service Lead – Mother & Baby unit Residential Care
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: £65,000 – £100,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time (4 days per week)
Lead a new, specialist Mother & Baby residential service and drive outstanding outcomes under Ofsted.
G’s Children’s Community (GCC) is opening a new Mother & Baby Residential Home providing a structured 12-week trauma-informed programme for up to six mothers (18+) and their babies. Our Nurturing Beginnings model supports vulnerable mothers to build safe, confident parenting skills while promoting the wellbeing and development of their infants.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead this home, shape its culture, and ensure the highest standards of practice in line with Ofsted requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all daily operations to ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards and GCC policies
* Manage, support and develop a skilled multidisciplinary team
* Work collaboratively with external professionals to provide a holistic support experience
* Oversee and review care plans incorporating parent assessments, therapy sessions, education and developmental activities
* Facilitate weekly therapeutic sessions to support children’s emotional development
* Promote purposeful activities (e.g., gardening, creative work, learning opportunities)
* Monitor service performance, outcomes and continual improvement
* Build strong community relationships and represent GCC locally
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must have:
* Registered Social Worker status or a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care
* Experience working in Adult & children’s residential care
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children’s legislation
* Leadership experience managing and motivating teams
* Experience with parent assessments (Parent Assess accreditation desirable)
* Excellent communication and decision-making skills
