Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (Dependent on experience)

About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dynamic Head of English to join a dedicated SEN school in Sevenoaks. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced English teacher or subject leader who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position within a highly supportive and inclusive environment.
As Head of English, you will lead a small but committed team of 6 teachers and support staff to deliver an engaging, differentiated English curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
You will inspire both students and staff, fostering a love of language, literature, and communication across all key stages.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the English department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention strategies.
Support the professional development of team members.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Champion literacy development across the whole school.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A creative and adaptable approach to meeting individual learning needs.
Commitment to promoting high expectations and outcomes for all learners.
