An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Bradgate Education Partnership, working at Highgate Primary School on a fixed term basis until 23rd August 2026 as a Learning Support Assistant providing 1:1 support for young people with SEN. The successful candidate will be required to work 14 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday to Friday 1:00pm until 3:15pm, and 3 hours one morning per week.
You will be required to:
Children Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. This may include working with SEN children delivering bespoke learning activities.
Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
Progress Monitoring: Track and report on children’s progress, working closely with teachers to adapt support strategies as needed.
Social and Emotional Well-being: Support the social and emotional development of students, helping them build resilience, confidence, and positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will have:
•Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school. However, other experience will be considered.
• Patience and empathy to support children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and child development.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varying needs of children and the school environment.
• Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
