Te Kowhiringa | The Opportunity
Based in Auckland, we are seeking a Programme Facilitator with an understanding of family violence dynamics. You will be responsible for delivering the Adult Safety Programme.
Flexibility to facilitate other programmes and an understanding of wider initiatives like the Non-Violence Programme are also desirable.
At Shine, we provide effective, practical, and innovative services that assist thousands of women, children, and families affected by family violence each year. We support them directly through frontline services and indirectly via professional training programmes. The Whānau Resilience initiative aims to foster strong, resilient communities where whānau are supported to live free of violence, eliminating it for future generations.
Ngā pūkenga kei a koe | Your Skills and Experience
We seek a confident and engaging trainer with a tertiary degree in one of the following fields: Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology. Additionally, you will have:
* At least 5 years of experience facilitating and delivering programmes in social services
* Sound knowledge of family violence, its dynamics, and impacts on children, men, women, and families
* Strong ability to engage and build rapport with clients
* Excellent networking skills and the ability to represent Shine in the community, forming partnerships with external groups such as Oranga Tamariki and other family-focused agencies
* Working knowledge and understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
* Ability to work from our Epsom-based, Central Auckland location
