We are looking for someone who is confident with new technology to digitally enable others. The person must be passionate about providing the best care for our patients; be able to learn and teach others how to use technology, and to collect data. You will work closely with the therapy MDT. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with physiotherapy, occupational therapy or speech and language therapy in a rehabilitation environment and be a confident and competent user of computer based technology. You will have good computer literacy skills to problem solve technology issues and maintenance of equipment. You will ideally have experience of working with people with stroke or acquired brain injury to facilitate their recovery.
* To work closely with the therapy MDT to identify suitable patients and lead on the introduction of rehabilitation technologies across the stroke pathway.
* Independent management of own caseload and workload
* To work closely with patients and relatives to introduce technology based rehabilitation packages across the stroke pathway
* To complete assessments of patients using tech in rehabilitation and using information to support clinicians in treatment planning and delivery
* To support the team to maintain equipment and resources to support service delivery
* To work with the stroke and innovation team to implement and review research projects
* Foundation degree/equivalent qualification, Experience of therapy work in a health care setting.
* Experience of issuing and retrieving patient equipment.
* Experience of carrying out mobility and exercise programmes.
* Knowledge of care agencies and how to access them.
* Able to demonstrate awareness of current NHS issues, capable of working on own initiative
* Able to communicate written information clearly; excellent communication skills
* Ability to work flexibly and prioritise workload
* Good level of admin/clerical skills
* Able to work as a team member
* Evidence of organisational abilities, willingness to work flexibly
