We Do Group are hiring a Group Financial Controller for a growing business operating within construction & maintenance to support the renewable energy sector. The company works on major renewable energy projects globally, providing specialist infrastructure and project services across multiple international markets.
Following recent growth and international expansion, the business is strengthening its finance leadership. This role will become the operational backbone of the finance function - running the day-to-day reporting, improving processes, and supporting the integration of new international entities as the group continues to expand.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of group reporting while helping build a scalable finance structure that can support further growth and acquisitions.
WISH LIST
* Experience producing multi-entity consolidated reporting within an SME group
* Background in construction, infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing or project-based environments → time & materials
* Comfortable improving processes and bringing structure to developing finance functions
THE ROLE
* Produce monthly group consolidated management accounts across multiple entities
* Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations across the group
* Ensure consistent accounting policies and revenue recognition across entities
* Build reliable project-level and entity-level reporting
* Develop monthly reporting packs including variance analysis, KPIs, and performance insights
* Improve the control environment including balance sheet reconciliations and financial governance
* Partner with operational leaders and project managers to support budgeting and commercial decisions
* Support the integration of new entities as the business expands internationally
* Develop financial processes that support a growing global structure
* Contribute to the selection and implementation of new finance systems
* Support cash flow forecasting and working capital visibility across entities
* Mentor and develop junior finance team members
YOUR PROFILE
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* Experience managing group consolidations and multi-entity reporting
* Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where systems and processes are evolving
