Join the team driving the awards ceremony from planning to delivery, working with top BBC partners and leading on site to make the event a success. You will be working with a team which is predominantly based in Bristol to deliver our most ambitious awards ceremony yet.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
The role will include managing the lead up to the ceremony, in conjunction with the production manager and producers from The Food Programme. You will also work closely with multiple partners from both within the BBC and externally, as well as being on location for the event itself to ensure it runs smoothly. You will work closely with the editorial team and supervise junior members of the team, as well as volunteers for the event. You will be responsible for preparing, managing and monitoring production budgets and reporting the financial position to the editor and production executive.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
You'll need to have experience of planning and organising high impact live events, along with a good working knowledge of safety procedures associated with publicly-attended events. You will have managed relationships with both external stakeholders and experience of working with both programme and technical teams. You'll have proven ability to manage projects within a set budget, as well as a demonstrable experience of working with BBC systems, including SAP. You also need to have an interest in food and/or farming. You'll have some experience of supervising and supporting junior members of a team
