Head of Engineering – Cardiff | £110k + Excellent Benefits | Fintech
Are you a seasoned engineering leader with a passion for fintech innovation?
I'm currently hiring for a Head of Engineering to join a fast-scaling SaaS company based in Cardiff. This is a rare opportunity to shape the engineering direction of a high-impact platform at the heart of financial technology.
The Role:
You'll lead a talented team of 20 engineers across multiple cross-functional squads. This role reports directly to the CTO and plays a pivotal role in scaling the platform, evolving the architecture, and driving engineering best practices
What You'll Be Doing:
* Leading and growing a high-performing engineering team
* Shaping tech strategy and architecture as the platform scales
* Working closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver world-class fintech solutions
* Championing a culture of quality, agility, and innovation
What We're Looking For:
* Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams (10+ people)
* Experience in a SaaS or fintech environment
* Strategic mindset with hands-on technical credibility
* Passion for mentoring, scaling teams, and building resilient systems
