Deputy Nursery Manager – Oxford Area
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £36,500 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role
ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are delighted to be supporting a well-established nursery in the Oxford area with the recruitment of a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Years professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help lead a team of 15 practitioners, support high-quality practice across the setting, and contribute to the ongoing development of staff and provision.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (UK recognised)
* Previous experience in a senior practitioner, room leader, or deputy manager role
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* A passion for delivering outstanding care and education
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery
* Lead and motivate staff to maintain high standards of care and learning
* Coach, mentor, and support practitioners to enhance practice and professional development
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality EYFS provision throughout the setting
* Monitor children's development and support effective curriculum planning
* Promote safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance with nursery policies
* Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
* Assist with staff supervision, recruitment, and onboarding
* Support inspections and ensure continued compliance with Ofsted requirements
* Step into the Nursery Manager's role when required
