A primary school in Penarth are looking for a Teaching Assistant for their Key Stage 2 age groups. The school is looking for someone with previous experience working with ALN, though it's not essential for the role.
About You
The school is looking for someone that can assist the classroom without being prompted and has experience working with autism in the past. The experience doesn't need to be in a school based setting and can be from a personal or professional background. You need to be confident in your abilities and able to step in and assist at a moment's notice. With the age group that you'll be working with, the older students will be transitioning into secondary school this term so there will be nerves and excitement throughout this term.
The school also welcomes anyone with a sports background as there is a lot of outdoor learning prepared for the coming term.

The school is based in Penarth and is a staff favourite for any that go there. The school has an incredible ALN unit that works on a "Team Around the Child" basis so that the students have consistency all year round. The latest Estyn report describes the school as warm and caring with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing. The Estyn report also listed strengths as:
