Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnered schools in the Bispham area. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
About the Role:
As an SEMH TA, you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs
* Help students to regulate emotions, engage positively, and access learning
* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
* Implement behaviour support plans and individual learning programmes
* Build trusted relationships to support progress both socially and academically
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEN, youth work or care settings
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A passion for helping young people overcome barriers
* Availability to work full-time, Monday–Friday
A Team Teach certificate is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
