We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our friendly and welcoming Communities Team as the Community Projects Manager.
About the Role
The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for the management of the WestRaven Café and Garden partnership including day-to-day customer service and coordination of activities and services. They will also lead on applying for and delivering externally funded projects that meet the aims of set charitable objectives.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
* Day to day management of the WestRaven Café and Garden partnership, in accordance with partnership arrangements, including direct line management for employees delivering the services.
* Responsibility for managing employee absence, performance and compliance with agreed processes.
* Project manage WestRaven community café and garden events, activities and funding bids including leading on the co-ordinating and planning of events and activities.
* Write and submit funding bids for WestRaven Community Café and Garden.Ensure compliance and monitoring relating to WestRaven Community Café and Garden projects and funding streams is completed to deadlines given.
* Work on the monitoring of budgets and spend in relation to WestRaven Community Café and Garden.Development and promotion of services offered working with the Communications and Marketing team.
* Supervision of Volunteers and partnerships that support WestRaven activities. To proactively safeguard children and adults by assessing needs and making decisions about timely referrals to statutory agencies where vulnerability has been identified.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
Use of a car and a clean licence essential as there will be a requirement to move between two local locations.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for someone who has relevant experience to undertake this really important role, preferably in communities or front line delivery. You also will have experience of working in partnership with other agencies at operational levels.
You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of obtaining external funding through funding bids and delivering projects delivering agreed outcomes.
Essentially you will also have the ability to lead and motivate people, monitoring employee performance and identifying and prioritising individual and team workloads.
